La Muerte Inspiration
On a flight to Phoenix, I was watching one of my favorite movies The Book Of Life. (Yes, it's a cartoon. And yes, I actually watched it AGAIN after it ended.)
As I watched, I remembered how much I LOVED the dress of La Muerte, with the deep red colors accented by yellow flowers. Immediately my mind started creating a La Muerte wine tag inspired by the beauty of her dress.
I have always been a fan of Day of the Dead. I love the concept of celebrating life after death. (I have threatened my family that if they aren't playing disco music and having cocktails on my anniversary, I'm going to haunt them ;) - I love the colors, candles, florals - everything about it.
I have also been influenced by Latin culture and every year vow to become fluent in Spanish! Here is my ode to Day of the Dead and Flamenco dancing from past Halloween costumes:
The La Muerte Wine Tag can be used on a bottle of tequila for a housewarming gift, or add it to a nice Spanish wine for any year round birthday to anyone who is a Day of the Dead believer like me!
